I search out their old content but half of it doesn't even exist anymore and internet archival wasn't a hot topic 10-15 years ago

It's easy and well deserved to hate on the guy, but I equally pity him. You can see a trend from him being an awkward loner 5/10 looking guy without any socialization and who only relied on one way engagement with media to understand the world into the person he is today. When I see someone who had promise and opportunity become a lolcow, I feel they deserve it more than someone who went from being a loser to a famous loser. I remember being a huge fan of this game and Yandere Dev since I was 12 years old. Now I’m 22, and as an adult, it makes me so upset to see that Alex wasn't the person I thought he was. I know it’s insane but a part of me can’t help but feel bad for him, how he craves any kind of intimacy due to the isolation from outside world (and most probably, the lack of attention from his parents). It is clear that it really messed up his brain. But I also know that it can’t justify his sick actions so now all I can say is that I’m really disgusted by this story, and I’m very disappointed in him. This game had so much potential and he could make his dreams come true. I hope he receives help and find redemption at the end. I’m sorry.

Funhaus was how I got into RT and probably at a certain point was bigger than AH but it was a sad time coming to terms with half the cast being unfunny or just bad people. Lawrence was a constant flip-flopper on his various stances he constantly tried to take but should have just either grew a spine or embraced his lack of, Alanah was a terrible choice even for the nepotism hire she was due to being unfunny and still having a GamerGate chip on her shoulder from being a dogshit awful "journalist", I barely think about Joel unless he's on screen he's that irrelevant, Rahul was their novelty guest when they needed him for cross-promoting to do for whatever mediocre TV show he was on at the time and Adam Kovic needs no explanation. Only the Willems and Bruce were really of any merit. I'll miss the days of binge-watching the GTA stuff but I just remember one day watching them and most anyone worthwhile was gone and they kept trying to fill the gaps with various diversity hires, most likely to clean up after the main business' many messes While I'm at it, RWBY was always terrible and RWBY/RT copeoids will always default to either "but it gets better the more you watch" or "muh Monty Oum died therefore the show is good!!1!" to try and defend their poor use of time

It's crazy how the incel movement started from something with intentions that were so pure and wholesome. Something that eventually became a breeding ground for budding misgynists, delusional behavior, and even, in extreme instances, dangerous acts of crime. I admit, I CAN put myself in the shoes of an incel prior to all the corruption. Me, a woman. We all know they start as just mentally ill, extremely lonely and isolated men. This is becoming a very common experience with people today. They are lonely and mentally ill. Deeply unhappy. They may be cut off from resources that would benefit them, so they seek what they think is the next best thing: community. People who they can relate to to know that they aren't alone. Unfortunately, many of those people are also mentally ill and aren't equipped to support another mentally ill person. And with mental illness comes toxic mindsets. And when you are in a group of people trying to relate to eachother, your toxic thoughts will be aired out amongst the group. It isn't a bad thing to vent, but in an echochamber of people who relate to eachother a bit too much, encouragement of unhealthy behavior/thought patterns can definitely occur. This is what happens to incels. They are terribly isolated from well adjusted folks, and usually only subjected to one, common type of belief/value, without much discourse or pushback. It is extremely easy to be controlled and manipulated when you are completely cut off from all other perspectives. That's why cults exist. That's also a reason why racism, homophobia, etc.. was such a grandscale and accepted thing, back when people had less means of communication. I really hope that incels can dig themselves out of the holes they're in. Empathizing doesn't mean I excuse or condone, but I think in order to decrease the number of, and possibly prevent people from becoming, incels, we need to start with empathizing AND holding them accountable for their behavior. If you feel like this isn't your responsibility, you're right. It isn't your responsibility to spend your time around foul people. You can't help people who refuse to help themselves. Many incels are selfish, stubborn POS, like Yandere Dev here. But there are still some stories of former incels who DID help themselves. They managed to climb out of the hole, reintegrate with society, and change for the better . We need to be encouraging these people.

Roosters teeth’s subscription services was less like Netflix or Max and more like DropOut. It’s a model that can work. Dollar for dollar compared to content you are getting less then a big streaming service but in theory it’s more tailored to what you like and its supporting a small business. The problem is these things thrive on content and staying small. RT was already too big for this kinda thing as they were already selling their content to the big streamers.
